The Different Faces of Nursing Scrubs
There are basically five elements that designers consider in creating fashionable nursing scrubs: color, drape, texture, silhouette, and line balance or patterns on the surface of the material. With a working garment in mind, nursing scrubs don’t require too intricate details that ancient Egyptian and Roman Stola did. They only needed to be comfortable for the profession’s different tasks, and smart looking to keep doctors, dentists, and nurses respectable. To this, the different faces of nursing scrubs were born.
Plain and simple. This design is always a hit. Many medical professionals choose to wear solid colors because they never go out of fashion. To feed the high demand for this kind of nursing scrubs, manufacturers continue to add more and more colors and shades to their offered products.
Delightfully colorful. Gone were the dominating years of green and white medical uniforms. It’s not that they were considered so boring that other color of nursing scrubs should come in. It’s because the more the colors patients see in the hospital the more they become worried and stressed. The colored nursing scrubs help them have better mood everyday for fast recovery.
Funny and playful. Funny characters and playful designs of flowers put life to another nursing design. They are made more beautiful by the cut fashioned to divert the conventional nursing scrub design to a little casual look. The mock wrap design, V-neck, and notched crew neck designs are among the cute ones.
Cool switch. These are the basic nursing scrub designs that look great in solid or prints. They too go pretty well with one or two front pockets, and of course, name embroidery and logo set up. Brand collections like Cherokee scrubs collections on the other hand showcase more fashionable designs.
Classic white. White nursing scrubs are always in-style. Many hospitals require this in certain departments though the colored scrubs have penetrated the whole of hospitals and clinics. They may look too flashy and may hurt the eyes, but white scrubs never lose appeal.
His and hers. Unisex nursing scrubs are also considered classics. The simplicity of their designs practically pulls more shoppers. The design fits male medical professionals, female doctors, dentists, and nursing usually prefer unisex nursing scrub uniforms so that, though they don’t work on every girl, they give a tough look.
Uniquely Asian. There’s this type of nursing scrub that you will say totally unique upon seeing the first time. It’s the Batik nursing scrub, derived from the name of the fabric from which it’s made, made from Indonesian fabric. The unique Batik nursing scrubs is found in the southern part Philiipines.

That Cherokee scrub jacket is in fact very nice, but we don't have it on stock anymore. This post was made March 2009.
If it may help... You can check other available Cherokee scrub jackets at http://www.pulseuniform.com/cherokee-scrub-jacket. Or better yet go to http://www.pulseuniform.com/nurses-scrub-jackets.a wherein all of our scrub jackets are found.
I like the cut of the scrub jacket. It's very sleek and looks more like something a professional woman would wear.
